My name is Ploy. I am an Irish Thai artist based in Dublin. My works revolve around human relationships, dual identity, Buddhist practices, and self-reflection. I enjoy creating projects that are personal and focus on the mundane moments in everyday life. The main subjects of my work are family members and close friends; they are a huge part of my life and have become my muses.

ALSO editions is a Dublin-based publications imprint co-ordinated by Peter Maybury. It released its first four titles in April 2026; two by Peter Maybury: ‘Various erasures and extractions: on memory, perception, property, recordings, and accounts of being there.’ and ‘I fashion a studio in a Victorian living-room’; ‘Apt 23 Moonlight Rose, Forevermore Rd, Co. Dublin, D01 P2M3’ by Ploypailin Fern Jitphulphon, and ‘Blackout Poetry or ‘Design is Lost’ in the pages of Domus, Design, Industrial Design, Industrijsko Oblikovanje’, a collection of works by Laura Fenner, Wayne Gannon, Orla Goodman, Robyn Murray, Meaghan O’Brien, Aoife O’Toole.
ALSO editions are edited by Peter Maybury, with David Donohoe in his usual capacity as no-input sounding board, and of late making important insights and contributions.
ALSO began as an entity through which to present work to students, and to present the work of students generated during modules at the School of Art & Design, TU Dublin.
This began with the pop-exhibition ‘Formats’ showing books and printed publications from my collection, in sizes ranging from very small books (60x87mm) to tabloid size; ‘Finishes’ was an exhibition of more than 90 books on which I have collaborated; the zine SELECT YOUR NETWORK stemming from the module ‘SELECT YOUR NETWORK message montage sequence’ which I piloted in the second semester, 2018; and a reference book table permanently located in the design studios. Subsequently we made a wall-work presenting 446 Instagram posts from students as part of their research during the module.
Current and on-going displays include slideshows and floorshows and a vitrine containing samples from various collections, all presented at TU Dublin School of Art & Design.
‘Also’ presentations have included gallery talks with artists Barbara Knežević at Oonagh Young Gallery; filmmaker Paddy Cahill and architect and educator Simon Walker hosted by the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF); and with Eamonn Doyle and David Donohoe at Made in Dublin, The Complex, Dublin.
